Everything about the World War II drama is slightly askew, like its spelling of inglorious and bastard. You'd hardly expect straightforward storytelling from Quentin Tarantino, who wrote as well as directed this saga of Jewish American soldiers dispatched to perform targeted acts of retribution on German troops occupying France.
