Heavy snow causes disruption Jan 23, 2008
Only in Weinan and Yan'an, two cities near the provincial capital Xi'an, about 423,500 people were affected. More than 182,300 people were turned off water supply temporarily and 147 houses collapsed under the weight of snow. (Xinhuanet, China)

The agency suspended industrial development in Chaohu, Bengbu, Baiyin, Banyannur, Weinan and Zhoukou cities, Hejin and Xiangfen counties in Shanxi. Projects at industrial parks in Wuhu, Lanzhou, Handan, Puyang and Shenxian County were also suspended by the agency. (Taipei Times, Taiwan -- World)
