    More dengue cases in Eastern Visayas this year -- DOH  Aug 27, 2007
    TACLOBAN CITY -- Eastern Visayas has registered three times more cases of dengue fever for the first seven months of the year compared to the entire 12-month period last year, the Department of Health (DOH) regional office said. From January to July this year, the regional epidemiology and surveillance unit (Resu) of the health department monitored 690 people afflicted with dengue fever in different parts of the region with nine fatalities, said DOH regional sentinel nurse Boyd Cerro.
