Why nominated: Lucas recently returned from a missionary trip to Brazil where she presented $1,000 raised by Three Fires sixth-grade students to the English For All school in Florianapolis on Santa Catarina Island and the day care center and school at the Nilopolis Church of the Nazarene in Rio de Janeiro. She says: "I'm retiring in the next couple of years and I will totally miss the camaraderie and the students. But I'm hoping to do volunteer work and I plan another mission trip ' this time...
