    Investors plow money into Russian farming, but problems remain  Aug 7, 2008

    The convicted gang's leader Eduard Tagiryanov, who was sentenced to life, told the court that Domnikov's killing had been ordered by former deputy governor of western Lipetsk region Sergei Dorovsky for a series of critical articles on his policies, said Andrei Lipsky, the deputy editor of Novaya Gazeta. Dorovsky has denied involvement and has never been charged. (Time.com)

    RUSSIAN ORPHANS CAPTURE HEART AND HELP OF SONORA MAN  Aug 17, 2007
    He stayed in the city of Lipetsk, a city about 300 miles southeast of Moscow, and assisted with another ministry program aimed at helping homeless kids and those at an orphanage there. He also met a farmer, Oleg Petrov, who with his own four daughters often visited the orphanage and offered what help they could. (The Union Democrat)
