    Jordan seeks $6.1 bln for railway project  Jul 27, 2008
    The proposed railway project consists of two lines, the north-south line from the Syrian border to Aqaba passing through Mafraq, Zarqa, Amman and Maan, and the east-west line extending from the Iraqi to Saudi borders passing through Mafraq, Irbid and Azraq, said the study.     The tour bus, which was operated by the privately owned Jordanian Trust Co., was traveling from the northern town of Jerash to Irbid, located about 55 miles north of the capital, Amman, when it crashed with the tanker and overturned into a valley.
