I waited hours outside old Sec Taylor Stadium in Des Moines for autographs of my favorite Bruin players and I've still got those autographs of guys like Bob and Ken Aspromonte and old Ernie Johnson, the best centerfielder ever to grace the ball park in Des Moines. I watched Dolph Pulliam and Gus Guydon toss in baskets for Drake, and I watched "The Big O" Oscar Robertson of Cincinnati score points against Drake. (Dallas County News, IA)
