Jon Doppelt of Fresh Meadow and Adam Fuchs of Hamlet Wind Watch led a group of 13 Long Island qualifiers for the 84th New York State Golf Association Men's Amateur, which is July 18-22 at the Country Club of Troy. Doppelt and Fuchs each shot 1-under-par rounds of 71 during the June 13 qualifier at the Links at Shirley. (Newsday -- Sports)
