    Nipomo water conservation orders suspended  Jul 31, 2008
    The Nipomo Mesa Management Area Technical Group grew out of the recent judgment in the 10-year legal battle over rights to water in the Santa Maria Valley Groundwater Basin, which extends as far north as the Five Cities area. As part of the judgment, Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Jack Komar ruled the basin should be divided into three management areas Santa Maria Valley, Nipomo Mesa and Northern Cities.
