In July 1893, an excursion train returning to Buffalo from Lime Lake was rounding the curve north of Olean Road, when the engineer saw that the switch leading to the turntable at Oakwood Avenue was open. Painter said the unions representing workers at D-R facilities in Wellsville and Olean have formed an alliance with the Local 313. he company views us as separate unions, but we formed this alliance so we can understand what the company's efforts between each location are in regards to contracts, he said.
