Brock Hornby rejected Independent candidate for the U.S. Senate Herb Hoffman's request for a temporary restraining order to prevent his name from being removed from the ballot on Friday.     Hoffman's U.S. Senate candidacy upheld in Maine court  Jul 15, 2008
    OGUNQUIT, Maine The validity of Herb Hoffmans independent candidacy for the U.S. Senate was upheld Monday by the Kennebec County Superior Court, backing a ruling made by Secretary of State Matt Dunlap. The Maine State Democratic Party had challenged Dunlap's decision, arguing Dunlaps disallowance of three people who signed Hoffman's petition without Hoffman being present should have also invalidated the more than 4,000 signatures Hoffman had collected, thus removing him from the race. I took my 7-year-old granddaughter on July 6, and we were both impressed with the quality of the production.     So the food called Bickford to a series of jobs, from Crickets in Faneuil Hall to the Golden Egg in Rye, N.H., Bickford honed her craft, working her way from food prep to sous chef to head chef, finally landing her at the Old Village Inn in Ogunquit, where she served as head chef from 1992 to 1995.
