    Deal to combine two Oregon health care companies falls through  Dec 4, 2008
    Agate Resources Inc. of Eugene approached Clear Choice Health Plans Inc. of Bend four months ago, and the companies held exploratory talks about some form of "corporate combination," Agate CEO Terry Coplin said this week ... Saying Oregon State has poured a lot of resources into facilities, stadium renovation and that Mike Riley and staff have done a tremendous job of getting the Beavers to where they are today.     UO's arena permit gets its final seal of approval  Nov 26, 2008
    Fred McVey , permit review manager for the city of Eugene, said Oregon officials are opting to secure those permits -- such as a foundation permit -- piecemeal rather than all at once, which would take more time in the short run.     Traffic fatality  Nov 26, 2008
    A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a young Eugene woman Sunday morning, according to Eugene Police. Police investigators say Sonja Marie Walker, 23, was driving north on Oregon 99 around 6:30 a.m. when her green Toyota 4-Runner struck a fire hydrant and two trees before rolling and ejecting Walker through the sunroof.     Feds issue pesticide limits to protect fish  Nov 26, 2008
    "We are eliminating potential sources of these chemicals for our children," said Aimee Code of the Northwest Coalition for Alternatives to Pesticides in Eugene.     Life Flight will open  Nov 26, 2008
    Currently, Life Flight operates in Eugene, Hillsboro and Dallesport, Wash. While Life Flight helicopters and planes have traditionally been used only for trauma victims, today they transport many heart-attack and stroke patients as well, Griffiths said. (OregonLive, OR -- News)
