Miss South Arkansas Allison Waldrip, 23 of Moro; Miss Diamond Lakes Lindsey Chomiuk, 22 of Bentonville; Miss Lake Dardanelle Hannah Caldwell, 19 of Conway; Miss Little Rock Chelsey Cavin, 21 of Greenbrier; and Miss Texarkana Page Daniel, 21 of DeQueen. The pageant is co-sponsored by the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant, Inc., The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, Hot Springs Advertising and Promotions Commission and the City of Hot Springs. Magazine names Hot Springs an Arkansas site for adventure Aug 13, 2007
"Billed as America's First Resort, the town's 147-degree thermal baths are protected as Hot Springs National Park," the magazine article says, "but more civilized dips can be had at the six restored spas in town. Outside city limits, (visitors can) canoe, fish, and scout for crystals in the Diamond Lakes, trek the Ouachita Mountains, or do some wrasslin' at the Arkansas Alligator Farm.". For the record, though, the Alligator Farm does not offer alligator wrestling, Arrison said. (Pine Bluff Commercial, AR)

First through fourth runnerups were Miss Diamond Lakes Chanley Painter, 23, who attends the University of Central Arkansas; Miss Petit Jean Valley Adrielle Churchill, 21, enrolled in the University of Arkansas law school; Miss University of Arkansas Allison Waldrip, 22; and Miss Greater Little Rock Gina Parker, 23, who attends Arkansas Tech University. Additionally, Diamond Lakes Watersports is giving away 50 a day for the best trick in each professional division and a total of 50 a day for all the amateur divisions combined. The event, which is the brainchild of Heber resident Aaron Ray and Mayor Jackie McPherson, will kick off with a Crank it Up car stereo contest at 7 p.m. Friday on the courthouse square.
