    Justices rule for Navy's use of sonar  Nov 13, 2008
    Reynolds noted that the ruling leaves in place the Navy's requirement to do a full environmental impact statement and to comply with the other four restrictions imposed by the courts, including staying at least 12 miles offshore and out of the waters around Catalina Island, where many marine mammals live. Remember, some kids can work their tails off for a 2.8gpa and others breeze through with a 3.8. It's relative to each student. And then of curse there are the special-ed/504/IEP students. But the judge refused to bar the Navy from conducting exercises off the Tanner and Cortez banks, and the Westfall seamount -- undersea mountains that tend to attract whales. (Los Angeles Times)
