An Apache Junction home was a complete loss after going up in flames about 11 a.m. Saturday, according to the Apache Junction Fire District. Acting Battalion Chief Richard Mooney said investigators believe the fire on the 600 block of E. Southern was likely sparked by the homeowner, who was working with a propane torch outside. A 19-year-old woman was shot through her closed screen door as she was talking to a man in Apache Junction Monday afternoon, police said. The suspect, a 5-foot-10 White male weighing between 160 to 180 pounds, approached the woman's house in the 1300 block of South Royal Palm Road at about 2:15 p.m., and there was some conversation through the screen, said Capt.
