    Game and Fish to hold meetings on hunting seasons  Mar 11, 2009
    The meetings will be March 23 in Wheatland and Rawlins, March 24 in Torrington, March 25 in Saratoga and Lusk, March 26 in Laramie, March 30 in Douglas and April 1 in Cheyenne. Terry Creekmore is wildlife management coordinator for the Laramie region. (Casper Star-Tribune, WY)

    Wal-Mart shelves Douglas store (28)  Mar 8, 2009
    Phair said the timing of a possible Wal-Mart store in Rawlins has yet to be determined, and plans for a Worland store also are under review. He said new stores will need to fit both the company's Wyoming business plan and Wal-Mart's national growth plan. (Casper Star-Tribune)

The engineers chose to ignore that data and sited the interstate where it is primarily to shorten the distance by 10 miles or so.     Radio station owner faces more suits  Feb 21, 2009
    In December, the Federal Communications Commission announced it intended to fine the company 20,000 for not maintaining its Emergency Alert System and violating other rules at its stations KRAL-AM and KIQZ in Rawlins. If the company and the FCC are not able to come to an agreement about the "notice of apparent liability," the FCC will issue a formal forfeiture order. (Casper Star-Tribune, WY)

    Variable speed limit signs are now operating on a 35-mile section of Interstate 80 between Laramie and Rawlins, according to a release from the Wyoming Department of Transportation ...     Burglar, cattle killer gets seven years  Feb 15, 2009
    He will serve his sentence at the state penitentiary in Rawlins before being deported, prosecutor Bill Eichelberger said. Eichelberger raised the possibility of sending Ruiz to a six-month boot camp rather than the penitentiary. (Gillette News-Record, WY)

    Wyo. inmate bank account bill finds support  Feb 12, 2009
    Rawlins Democrat George Bagby sponsored the legislation. He says inmates earn between 20 and 160 a month doing everything from washing dishes to driving heavy equipment. (Casper Star-Tribune, WY)
