Getty pleaded no contest to charges stemming from the two separate incidents that occurred in May and June of this year. Lake County Circuit Judge Lane Simpson sentenced Getty to 35 months in prison and suspended his driver’s license for five years after his release, according to Lake County District Attorney David Schutt. Getty also faces three years post-prison supervision.Authorities said in May, Getty was driving two women on Highway 140 in western Lake County at speeds exceeding 100 mph when he tried to pass another car and lost control of his truck. As a result, both passengers suffered broken bones and lacerations. He then tried to persuade the women to lie to police about what happened, Schutt said.The next month, Getty went to the Lakeview home of his ex-girlfriend and shoved her to the ground several times after she wouldn’t let him inside.
