Top 10 Disney/Marvel Comics Sep 8, 2009
If nothing else, the irony of seeing Marvel publish a comic book called Alias that has nothing to do with the exploits of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage would be amusing. The undiscovered movie star May 1, 2009
Since her star-making turn in the spy versus spy TV hit Alias, Garner has appeared in a string of profitable and popular but, let's face it, underwhelming films: from the middle-brow rom-coms Catch and Release and 13 Going on 30 to the fun but silly superhero movies Daredevil and Elektra to the Jamie Foxx-in-fatigues vigilante flop The Kingdom. The actress does no more than a workmanlike job of becoming different people; she's not much fun to watch, in the way Jennifer Garner was in "Alias," when she donned costumes and accents to go undercover. Maybe Whedon will develop "Dollhouse" into something more compelling, maybe not. (Boston Globe)
