    Aircel shortlists four cos to sell its $2 bn tower biz  Aug 7, 2009
    This implies that Reliance Telecom Infrastructure (RTIL), the tower arm of Reliance Communications, and GTL, the countrys largest standalone tower company have failed to make the cut. But an executive with GTL said the company had not heard from Aircel and was, therefore, unaware of the firm missing the shortlist. (India Times)

    Etisalat-RCOM sign Rs 10,000 crore tower sharing deal  Jul 22, 2009
    ET had first reported in January 2009 that Etisalat-Swan was in advanced talks for a 10-year infrastructure sharing deal with Reliance Telecom Infrastructure Ltd (RTIL) the hived off tower arm of RCOM. RTIL has about 50,000 towers spread across the 22 telecom circles of the country. RTIL is amongst the large infrastructure firms in the country after Indus Towers, the largest independent tower co in the world with over 103,000 units. (India Times)

    The regulator said that Reliance Telecom, Reliance Communications and Idea Cellular have the most congested networks among private operators while Tata Teleservices had the least levels of congestion ...     Telecom: Telecom tower cos find it futile to go solo  May 30, 2009
    Reliance Communications has consolidated its 48,000-plus towers in a new entity called Reliance Telecom Infrastructure while the recently established Quippo-Tata combine has over 21,000 towers. New entrants in the mobile phone business prefer to tie up with these larger established players rather than sign on standalone tower companies as it reduces risk as well capital investment.     Parakh and Co of Jaipur has been engaged to carry out verification of accounts of Reliance Communications, Reliance Telecom and Reliance Communications Infrastructure Ltd, official sources said, adding that the company has been asked to submit the report within three months of its engagement.     RComm falls 4% as govt plans special audit  Feb 20, 2009
    Parakh have been selected as auditor to carry out the special audit of Reliance Communications, Reliance Telecom and Reliance Communications Infrastructure Ltd. for the year 2006-07 and 2007-08. The special auditor will verify whether there is any evasion of license fees. (Economic Times)
