News and Articles on Natural Frequency

Earthquake tech aimed at washers  Sep 24, 2009
Miller said the technology is distinct because it can be adjusted for natural frequency while loaded and operating. This allows it to be used in situations where the frequencies are variable or where the weight of the operating isolated system changes under a washing machine, for example. (Columbus Business First, OH)

    Dimensional Shift and 2012  Aug 27, 2009
This is due to the photon belt were in, and partly due to the increase in the natural frequency of the earth called Schumann Resonance. The Schumann Resonance used to be at a steady normal frequency of 7. (Ghana Web, Ghana)

Ytterbium gains ground in quest for next-generation atomic clocks  Aug 12, 2009
NIST scientists evaluated the clock by measuring the natural frequency of ytterbium, carefully accounting for all possible deviations such as those caused by collisions between the atoms, and by using NIST-F1 as a "ruler" for comparison. The results were good enough to indicate that the ytterbium clock is competitive in some respects with NIST-F1, which has been improving steadily and now keeps time to within 1 second in about 100 million years. Nanotubes Weigh A Single Atom  Jul 24, 2009
As all guitar players know, heavy strings vibrate more slowly than lighter strings, so if a suspended carbon nanotube is allowed to vibrate at its natural frequency, that frequency will fall if atoms or molecules become attached to it. It sounds simple and the idea is not new. (Science Daily)

Does the Mac-Windows-Linux Race Ever Change?  Jun 17, 2009
Human attitudes change on a more leisurely timescale than technology does, so the natural frequency of the market feedback loop is very little different now than it was in the days when telephones and electricity and cars and television first came into being. Reading Stephenson s paper was a sobering experience though some of his comments are laugh-out-loud humorous because I can t look at my monitor anymore without a nagging suspicion that, rich as the experience is, there could be much more...
