    'Giant Voice' system to be tested in Wahiawa  Oct 23, 2009
    The Navy says it will conduct an operational test of its "Giant Voice" mass notification system at its Wahiawa annex tomorrow at 1 p.m. The announcement on the public address system will be audible to those who live or work near Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific in Wahiawa. The short announcement will be preceded with the words "test test test," followed by a warning tone and then close with "test test test.". (Honolulu Advertiser)

    Two Hawaii firms awarded DOD contracts  Sep 1, 2009
    6 million for additional work to be done under a previously awarded contract for security work at Pearl Harbor, Naval Magazine Lualualei and the Naval Communications Telecommunications Area Master Station in Wahiawa. The work includes entry control point services such as ID checks, vehicle inspections, emergency entry control point closures, roving guard services and mobile vehicle inspections, the department said in a release.     Navy to clean up waste in Wahiawa, Wai'anae  Apr 4, 2009
    Both the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station for the Pacific in Wahiawa and the Navy Radio Transmitter Facility in Lualualei continue to operate as active military installations. Technically, 24 "sites" have been designated 11 in Lualualei and 13 in Wahiawa. (Honolulu Advertiser)

    Navy agrees to clean up contaminated soil in Wahiawa, Lualualei  Apr 3, 2009
    Under terms of the Federal Facility Agreement, the Navy will work with the EPA and state to address any remaining issues at the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific in Central Oahu and the Navy Radio Transmitter Facility at Lualualei near the Navy Munitions Command base in Leeward Oahu. "This is a critical step in completing the cleanup actions," said Keith Takata, director for the EPA Pacific Southwest Region's Superfund Division. (Honolulu Advertiser)

    Site of Army satellite communications center in Wahiawa blessed  Feb 24, 2009
    The six-acre construction site is located at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific. The project was awarded by Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific to Watts on Dec. 30. (Honolulu Advertiser)
