County golfers compete in Oklahoma Amateur Jul 17, 2008
Several golfers from Sequoyah County took part in the Oklahoma Golf Association's State Amateur Championship this week in Oklahoma City. Trent Whitekiller of Sallisaw advanced the furthest before losing in the round of 32 to Hamilton Wheeler of Bethany, 3 and 2. (Sallisaw Sequoyah County Times, OK)

Women's Golf in First at Susie Maxwell-Berning Classic Apr 9, 2007
- The women's golf team is in first after firing a tournament low first round 282 and a second round 287 for a 36-hole total of 569 after the first day of the Susie Maxwell-Berning Classic hosted by the University of Oklahoma at the 6,013-yard, par-72 Jimmie Austin University of Oklahoma Golf Course. Senior (Karlskrona, Sweden) shot a career-low at Baylor with a 68 in the first round before firing a second round 69 to tie for second at 137 to lead the Bears. (Baylorbears.com)
Women's Golf Travels to Oklahoma Apr 6, 2007
The 6,013-yard, par-72 Jimmie Austin University of Oklahoma Golf Course will host Arkansas, Arkansas-Little Rock, Baylor, Cameron, Kansas, Kansas State, New Mexico State, North Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, Oral Roberts, Redlands Community College, SMU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UTEP, Wichita State and Wisconsin.
