If 7-on-7 is any indication, the Liberty football team will be a handful come August when it begins the first varsity season in Class 4A.. The Redhawks mounted a respectable run and a 2-1 record in pool play Saturday at the Frisco Liberty State Qualifying Tournament (SQT) at LHS. WEST LIBERTY, Iowa Four members of the West Liberty football team were named first-team all-district announced recently. The Comets, who finished sixth in the Class 3A District 5, ended with a 2-5 record in the district and were 2-7 overall after winning their season finale, 47-26, over Anamosa. (Muscatine Journal, IO)
