CARBONDALE Southern Illinois track and field athlete A Seret Dokubo and diving athlete Gareth McGee were honored as 2008 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars named by the Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine in the May 29 issue. Dokubo, a sophomore from Schaumburg, daughter of Teresa Colby-Dokubo and Dr. Igoni Dokubo and the granddaughter of John and Betty Brokaw of Tiskilwa and the late Gerald Colby, was one of 25 athletes named to the women s track and field first team.
