The state of Montana is currently negotiating a 30-year lease with the Church Universal and Triumphant, which owns the Royal Teton Ranch next to Yellowstone. The lease would remove the cattle on the ranch and allow some brucellosis-free bison to use the ranch as a corridor to reach U.S. Forest Service land where they can be managed as wildlife. BOZEMAN - A group of 41 bison was hazed into Yellowstone National Park from nearby Church Universal and Triumphant lands, park officials said. It's really the first significant action we've had'' this winter, park spokesman Al Nash said of Tuesday's hazing. (Missoulian, MT)
