    Stemming from involvement with resource preservation and seafaring heritage, the Maritime Heritage Program of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA, along with partners Mystic Seaport, New Bedford Whaling Museum, and New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park pulled together this event.     The cornerstone of the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, the Museum is located in the heart of the city's historic downtown at 18 Johnny Cake Hill. Open daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and until 9 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month, admission is free for members and children under the age of 6, $10 for adults, $9 for seniors (59 and over) and students with a valid ID, and $6 for children ages 6-14.     "If we get that money, it could be a capital windfall" for Ernestina," he said. According to Ms. Geigis, the Department of Conservation and Recreation had already spent about $188,000 of that money repairing the ship's keel before the budget cuts were announced. "The cut didn't really cut," she said, noting that the remaining $60,000 is "presumably" available for the new repairs.
