In 1985 he was selected for a regional trainee management program and worked at the Southwest Regional Office in Santa Fe, N.M. Following that program, he was assigned as the resource management specialist at Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Pine Springs, Texas, then at Great Basin National Park in Baker, Nev. Private Space Program Takes Off Jan 4, 2007
It's just south of the Guadalupe Mountains National Park, which straddles the New Mexico-Texas border and includes some of the highest mountains in Texas. Blue Origin has said the test flights will grow in duration and altitude over the next three years with as many as 52 commercial flights, the goal of the project, possibly beginning in 2010.
