A Searcy native has successfully finished an enterprise regarded as the world championship of adventure racing. David Nicholson, 41, a nurse-anesthetist at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M. competed in Primal Quest Montana 2008, which includes mountain biking, trekking, kayaking, fixed rope climbing and often other unknown challenges all while navigating with only a map and compass and the collective skills of the team.
