Koenig, 50, who has been with Prime 15 years, will remain on staff as president of merger and credit union service organization (CUSO) development. Although Wesson, 41, is younger than Koenig and has been in the Milwaukee area for a shorter period of time, he will become CEO of the merged entity because Guardian is the larger of the two credit unions and because the Guardian name has been known in the area longer, Wesson said.
