    Depot Days festival returns this weekend  Sep 29, 2005
    The Bel-Airs from Columbia, Mo. return to Depot Days for the third time and will perform at 5 p.m. The Bel-Airs will also serve as the back-up band for Jackson County's own Billy Lee Riley, who is scheduled to play starting at 5:30 p.m.. (Newport Daily Independent, AR)

    Mourning the Zephyr  Oct 26, 2003
    On Tuesday, Oct. 28, the Zephyr Club, (a private club for members at 300 South West Temple) will close its doors, marking the end of a cultural era that will be hard to replace. Some of my fondest memories include artists like John Mayall, Buddy Miles, Buddy Guy, Weather Report, Freddie Hubbard, Steve Morse, Jimmy Cliff, Agent Orange, John Doe, David Lindley, Monkey Meet, Rubberneck and Crazy 8s as well as a number of great local bands who made their mark there -- Connie and the Rhythm...
