Out of respect for Anderson, who shares in the Yes trademark, the band which also features Oliver Wakeman, son of former Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman isn't touring under the Yes name, opting instead for In the Present. It will, however, perform Yes songs, including rarely heard material from 1980's Drama. (USA Today -- Life)
Wright's death another brick out of wall Sep 17, 2008
Unlike other prog-rock keyboardists of the 70s era such as Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman, Wright added synthesiser and organ textures to many of Pink Floyd's songs rather than adorning them with flashy solos. Acrimony beset the band in the late 70s as they became superstars and Wright was at the centre of it. (The Australian)

Yes singer Jon Anderson takes a trip back with School of Rock All-Stars Mar 8, 2008
They debuted in 1969 and broke through with "The Yes Album" in 1971 and the hit "Your Move," followed a year later by "Fragile," with Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman both in the fold for the enduring hit "Roundabout.". Anderson left in 1980 and then returned in '83 for the more New Wave version of Yes, which hit big with "Owner of a Lonely Heart." In the late '80s, it got ugly, with Yes splitting into two warring camps and, long story short, it has been the typical on-and-off affair since then. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, PA)
Concert Review: Genesis dazzles Sep 10, 2007
We got some of that funk-era Genesis in the beginning of the set with the oh-so-timely "Land of Confusion." Then Collins asked, "Any old people here tonight...except us?" Obviously, the answer was Yes (and not the Rick Wakeman Yes). With that, Genesis launched into the highlight of the show, a frenzied "In the Cage," powered by keyboard wiz Tony Banks pumping out the tension. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, PA)

Sandwiched between a feature on the death of glitter rock and a poster of Rick Wakeman is a column called So You Want to Be a Label Manager. "You have to decide whether a group that appeals to you will also appeal to today's record buyers," exclaims David English, a thrusting young executive for RSO Records. (Guardian Unlimited -- Arts)

Like Rick Wakeman (Planet Rock's other resident duffer), Cooper has turned morose self-deprecation into an art form. Someone should get them together. (Guardian Unlimited -- Arts)
Father Hemann: The Singing Priest Jun 15, 2007
"Rick Wakeman and Jon Anderson, they're all coming to Christianity. I'm still praying for Madonna," he said. My Chemical Romance Jun 10, 2007
Concept albums can be fun (see Meatloaf s completely tongue-in-cheek Bat Out of Hell or the Hawkwind crew s Captain Lockhead and the Starfighters ) or they can be genuinely hellish (think about almost anything involving Yes or Rick Wakeman). MCR have avoided the worst excesses of 70's pomp rock and produced something that s generally listenable. (Suite101.com)
Kings of the cosmos Apr 22, 2007
Keith Emerson of ELP and Yes-man Rick Wakeman played their synths like glorified organs, all bombast and folderol. Apart from Tonto's Expanding Head Band, the first group to go all the way into a radically all-electronic and un-rock sound was Tangerine Dream. (Guardian Unlimited)
Yesterday once more Mar 2, 2007
Most self-respecting rock jocks will insist that the holy trinity of rock organ (courtesy of the Hammond organ) players would naturally include Keith Emerson (of Emerson, Lake r), Rick Wakeman (of Yes fame) and Jon Lord of Deep Purple. Fusion stalwarts Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul and Jan Hammer have all subjected their jazz chops to audience scrutiny on numerous classic recordings from the 1970s as well.
