"I ve been singing with the Glimmerglass Opera lately," Besley says from her home in Brooklyn, "and they held a fundraising gala in April at the Metropolitan Club in New York City, and they invited me to sing for that. I really enjoy doing the pops side of things and I know a lot of the standards; I did a lot of jazz singing as an undergraduate.
