This year I also became friends with Dave Catching and the Queens of the Stone Age crew and will be heading out to Palm Desert next year to cut my new record at his place. In other words, I'm always thankful to... (Boston Globe)

American rockers Queens of the Stone Age and Smashing Pumpkins are from the same pod, each of them equipped with abundant aggression and skill -- topped by frontmen Josh Homme and Billy Corgan, respectively -- and whose egos and songwriting are their raison d'etre.
