    The thing with Silverchair is that they used to be a "joke", but Diorama etc changed that up a bit when they started to move beyond the "nirvana in pyjamas" tag and into more serious songwriting ... well, australian music used to be pretty original, and world class, AC/DC - INXS. but somewhere we shifted into 'near cover band' land, with silverchair being a nirvana rip off, wolfmother being a black sabbath rip off, and jet ripping off anyone from iggy pop to oasis.
