Masterfully cobbled by familiar Beck cohorts Jason Falkner, Joey Waronker, and Greg Kurstin, "Chemtrails" is actually far too eerie and epic to fly as a single, but it does rank among Beck's most beautiful recordings. Sweeping, uneasy, and heartbreakingly lovely, it sounds like Pink Floyd, Brian Wilson, the Flaming Lips, and Portishead hooked up for a one-off. (Boston Globe)

Musician Jason Falkner, who has worked with Beck and Aimee Mann in the past, released his second installment of Beatles lullabies, this one called Bedtime With the Beatles. Afraid Himself to Be, Jason Falkner Grammatically, incorrect; musically, very correct. Falkner is the sort of guy that pops up on the liner notes of all these great albums by bands like the Grays and Fabulon, but he releases a solo album and it more or less gets ignored. (Guardian Unlimited)
