The concert concluded with a Gerald Finzi composition, Let us Garlands Bring, consisting of five short songs based on the poems of William Shakespeare and an encore, Five Eyes, by the English composer Cecil Armstrong Gibbs (1889-1960), the lyrics of which were written by his good friend Walter de la Mare.
