PLANT, KRAUSS MIX WELL  Oct 24, 2007
Add to that songs written by masters such as Gene Clark, Tom Waits, Townes Van Zandt and the Everly Brothers and you have a lovely collection that sometimes rocks, is often acoustically gentle but is never slow. Download the slitheringly sexy "Rich Woman.". (New York Post -- Entertainment)

Plant and Krauss: A most curious collaboration  Oct 24, 2007
They harmonize on two songs by Byrds co-founder Gene Clark and another pair from the Everly Brothers catalog, but the originals barely hint at the places Plant and Krauss take them. Other songs come from Tom Waits, Townes Van Zandt, Doc Watson and Naomi Neville. (USA Today)

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss mesh well on 'Raising Sand'  Oct 23, 2007
On "Stick With Me Baby," a Mel Tillis tune cut by the Everly Brothers, Krauss and Plant play a pair whose union is doubted around town, but they decide to keep their own counsel. "Let them say what they may," they croon, "stick with me baby, we'll find a way.". (Boston Globe)

Listen Up: Carrie Underwood is along for the 'Ride'  Oct 23, 2007
Highlights include two past-their-hitmaking-prime gems by the Everly Brothers, a pair of songs by woefully underrated former Byrd Gene Clark, tunes from the Tom Waits and Townes Van Zandt songbooks and an Allen Toussaint number previously covered by the Rolling Stones and The Who (but never as hauntingly as this). A subtle, reverb-laden T Bone Burnett production provides the finishing touches on an unlikely collaboration that works like a dream. (USA Today -- Life)

Robert Plant And Alison Krauss  Sep 29, 2007
Produced by T-Bone Burnett, the 13-track collection finds the two singers applying their considerable interpretative skills to a shrewdly selected set of American roots-music gems, including Gene Clark's "Polly," the Everly Brothers' "Gone, Gone, Gone" and "Trampled Rose" by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan.
