Raquel Rodriguez, trumpet, with Shiao-Li Ding, piano, performing "Caprice," a lively tune written by French composer Eugene Bozza. Larisa Elisha, violin, and Steven Elisha, cello, playing "Passacaglia," George Frideric Handel's suite originally written for harpsichord but arranged for strings by Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen. LSU Symphony will play Nov. 22 Nov 20, 2005
Andrew Seigel, clarinet, will be joined by Kenneth Boulton, piano, to perform a program including works by Rossini, Arthur Hezog and Billie Holiday as interpreted by Eric Dolphy, Eugene Bozza and William Bolcom. Seigel, who has a doctorate from Michigan State University and studied as a Fulbright Scholar at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary, joined the SLU faculty last fall. (The Advocate)
