Before Gibson relocated to Nashville in 1984, the Kalamazoo plant produced instruments played by many of the famous rock, country, jazz and blues performers -- from Charlie Christian (first famous electric guitarist with the Benny Goodman Orchestra) to Woody Guthrie, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton and B.B.
