It is safe to say that he is one of the last of the 1940s Grand Ole Opry cast still out there performing with his contemporaries Minnie Pearl, Roy Acuff, Bill Monroe and Ernest Tubb all now in Tex Ritter s Hillbilly Heaven. Of course, all those folks including old Tex are included in his new autobiography Snake Oil, Superstars and Me, co-authored by Shirley Noe Swiesz and myself, Randall Franks, from Katona Productions Inc and Authorhouse.
