THE Art Gallery of New South Wales could be in for a million-dollar windfall after the estate of the artist James Gleeson goes to auction this month. When his art collection is auctioned at Bonhams and Goodman's Double Bay saleroom on August 27, all proceeds will go to the Gleeson O'Keefe Foundation, established by the artist and his late partner, Frank O'Keefe, to help the gallery buy important Australian work.
