    It's a line from the 1979 Python comedy Life of Brian, which provided the troupe not only with their happiest filming experience, but also gave Idle the core idea and characters for his oratorio ... Inevitably, a film that mocked religious belief (if not the creed itself) drew heavy controversy, and Life of Brian was banned in parts of the United States and Europe ... Idle, of course, had to get the blessing of the surviving Pythons to use the material from Life of Brian. (Globe and Mail)
