Movie review: 'Bolt' a jolt of fun  Nov 22, 2008
Although it doesn't reach the heights of "Finding Nemo" or "The Incredibles," it's a masterpiece compared with Disney's 2002 "Treasure Planet.". The house of mouse obviously has been all ears to what young audiences expect in animation. (San Francisco Chronicle)

Canine TV action star discovers that life is the best reality show  Nov 22, 2008
But if "Bolt" originally conceived by the old regime at the Disney animation studios and refurbished after John Lasseter of Pixar took over does not quite rise to the level of bona fide Pixar masterpieces like "Wall-E," "Finding Nemo" and "Ratatouille," it does manage to be frisky, funny and inventive enough to engage the attention of grown-ups as well as children. Perhaps some of the show-biz jokes will sail over the heads of very young viewers, who won't understand why Penny's unctuous agent... (International Herald Tribune -- Arts)

Bolt has laughs for all ages  Nov 22, 2008
Directed by Byron Howard and Chris Williams, Bolt proves that Disney does not need Pixar (with whom the Mouse House collaborated on Toy Story, Finding Nemo and others) for success. Granted, Wall-E (the last Disney/Pixar effort) was wonderful, but Bolt is more fun and likely will be more enjoyable for kids. (Hillsdale Independent, NY)

For "Wall-E" director, art mixes well with commerce  Nov 20, 2008
It never was a standard Hollywood plot -- in fact, for much of the movie there is no dialogue -- but with hits ranging from "Toy Story" to "Finding Nemo" and "The Incredibles," Disney-Pixar has never been known for typical ideas. "To me it seems bass ackwards when you're asking yourself, 'Okay, what has the rest of the world accepted and what will they accept next?' That just seems weird. That's like looking at (movies) like a businessman," Stanton said about the way he and the filmmakers at... (Reuters Canada)

New On DVD: 'WALL·E,' 'Tropic Thunder'  Nov 19, 2008
That's because Pixar Animation Studios has done it again, and this time they've stretched the boundaries into space, as "Finding Nemo" writer-director Andrew Stanton voyages above the surface to tell an amazing story about a rusty old robot that breaks new ground. DVD Report: This week's new releases (Nov. 16)  Nov 16, 2008
Writer-director Andrew Stanton ("Finding Nemo") and crew take WALL-E's plight as a gentle mechanical soul who's literally alone in the world and wordlessly make it understandable to viewers of all ages - a neat trick for a group that's always been sure to marry its dazzling visuals to snappy patter. (Almost as striking are the commentaries on societal super-sizing and cellphone culture run amok that distinguish the film's mostly routine second half - vaguely freaky stuff for a family 'toon. A masterpiece on par with Pixar's very best films, Andrew Stanton's overdue follow-up to Finding Nemo is everything one could possibly want from a film about a robot finding love, and even more. But the problem is that its substance is all so visible and understandable that it demands, and needs, no further analysis. (IGN FilmForce)

    Madagascar, WALL-E, Horton Up For 2...  Nov 12, 2008
Pixar's reputation is golden, given that the studio's won 3 times previously for Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and Ratatouille, and WALL-E is clearly the heavyweight in this category. The only question is whether the fact that Disney is also pushing for a Best Picture nomination for WALL-E will hurt its chances in the Best Animated Feature Film category. (Suite101.com)

Movie Review: Roadside Romeo  Oct 26, 2008
But lets talk about the animation, agreed that Roadside Romeo looks nowhere as good as Pixar films like Finding Nemo, Ratatouille or the recently released Wall E. But since Romeo has Disney's money, since I am greedy and since I love animated films, I wanted to watch some spectacular animation.
