Lack of funding to pay stars halts film May 13, 2008
The Screen Actors Guild pulled its members, including the stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel, from a movie being directed by David Russell after the producers of the film failed to keep sufficient funds to pay actors in a union-mandated account. The independently financed film, "Nailed," halted production Friday but is expected to resume shooting early this week, according to a person who is involved with the film but spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid conflict with colleagues.
