    Not only is she doing a narcissistic, nasty-girl version of what Larry David does now on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" but what Jerry Seinfeld did and, yes, Jack Benny did before her: that is, getting laughs out of an ugly fictionalization of her real self. We know that decent real people don't really act like "Sarah Silverman" does or say the things she says, just as America always knew that Jack Benny wasn't a selfish, small-minded, penny-pinching skinflint.
