We liked the idea of a woman, particularly, put into this very precarious situation where she's done something that she feels guilty about and then she's back on this train which she can't get off of ; it's like a prison in a way ; and there's this guy, this Russian guy who's an inspector played by someone like Ben Kingsley who is watching her very suspiciously. The beardless, airbrushed face of a grown-up Myers appears atop the frame of a 12-year-old American boy, who has arrived at an ashram in his Farrah Fawcett T-shirt to study with a cross-eyed mystic (Ben Kingsley, mocking his "Gandhi" moment with sporting good cheer). Some of the lowest moments involve Sir Ben Kingsley, who appears as Pitka's mentor, the permanently cross-eyed Guru Tugginmypudha. I've read that Kingsley, who was made a knight of the realm in 2001, often the English press by insisting on the usage of his full title, even in casual social situations. (Slate)
