Christopher Plummer generates star power in Caesar and Cleopatra  Aug 31, 2008
It's one that doesn't quite rank with such top-drawer efforts as Major Barbara, Pygmalion, Man and Superman and Heartbreak House. Fortunately, director Des McAnuff has nicely trimmed this revival and given it a glitzy, Technicolor production. (Brantford Expositor)

Byron and the Byronic  Aug 5, 2008
By the beginning of our century, when Shaw satirized it in the brigand of Man and Superman, this figure had undoubtedly become stagey and ridiculous, but what it first symbolized is valid enough to survive its successive embodiments in diverse costumes.
