Hyannis Public Library will lose more than $140,000 in the next three years as a result of the new funding formula and town budget cuts. Hyannis Library Director Ann Louise Harries told The Register last week that the library has already lost a position and a half as a result of the cuts and will have to cut back on new materials by 50 percent for 2010. After hearing overwhelming support for Hyannis Public Library last week during a public hearing at Town Hall, library committee chairman Mark Cote said Monday the committee will review its proposal before the Fourth of July holiday ...
