Celebrating anniversary milestones this quarter were Wharton County Junior College, 60th; Fort Bend County Libraries, 60th; Lamar Junior High, 50th; Fort Bend Museum Association, 40th; and Shady Oaks Christian School along with Funshine Academy, celebrating 20 years of education each. Fort Bend's youth honored for good deeds May 3, 2007
Some of them go by ippers" while others call themselves ips, but dozens of high school students were applauded and named riends by the non-profit groups they benefited through the Youth in Philanthropy Program, known as IP. A collaborative effort between the George Foundation, the Fort Bend Chamber and the school districts, YIP is celebrating its 10th year.
