    CV officials brush off criticism of superintendent  Jun 20, 2008
    Harner was also selected as the National Administrator of the Year by the Association of School Librarians in 2004 and was a 2005 Fellow in the Broad Foundations Superintendents Academy. In 2007, Harner was inducted into the South Carolina Lacrosse Hall of Fame for opening the first public high school lacrosse program in the state, then adding seven more high school programs as a superintendent.     The annual Nene Award is sponsored by the Hawaii Association of School Librarians, the Hawaii Library Association, the Friends of the Library of Hawaii, Barnes and Scholastic Books. Student winners of this year's Nene Award essay, poster, performing arts, and digital arts contests based on the theme of 2006 award winner, "Eragon," were honored at a ceremony last month.
